Prevent, Treat and Cure.

While most of what we talk about here on Challenge Diabetes is around better ways to manage, that’s only one facet of what must be done to address this disease.

Diabetes is a family affair. Especially when it’s your child who has it. This will be our sixth year with diabetes and our fourth or fifth year (can’t remember) to participate in JDRF’s Annual Walk to Cure Fundraiser. This is an annual event that allows all of us; families, friends and corporations, to come together to raise money in support of research. In addition to accelerating the cure, the JDRF is also a catalyst in new cure therapies and medical devices that will help Darby to stay as healthy as possible until the cure is made available to her.
